The Mediterranean has always connected more than it divided. In energy terms, it is becoming a single system: production in the south, demand in the north, and a growing lattice of links between them.
Reading the basin as one system reframes national debates. A pipeline is not just Algerian or Italian; an interconnector is not just Spanish. They are shared infrastructure with shared exposure.
The map that matters is not political. It is the map of flows.
